Cabin Fever Fest is North Central WV's annual in-door winter craft beer festival featuring brews from around the Mountain State. **This is a 21 years and older only event** Feb. 10, 2018 from 12pm to 6pm. Souvenir tasting glass and 4 oz pours are included in the ticket price. No additional tickets or tokens are needed.
In its second year the festival is bringing together an event that will feature local breweries, beers, artists and entertainment. Cabin Fever is already the premier North Central WV event for homestate brewers to showcase both their established and newest craft concoctions. With ample indoor space at the Mylan Park Event Center, attendees will have the opportunity to sample some of the state’s newest beers and chat with brewers from the Mountain State. At least 15 breweries will be in attendance bringing with them a varied assortment of flavors from all over WV.
With the evolution of the craft beer industry and the growing desire among Mountaineers to tap into unique beer, Cabin Fever offers the chance to sample home grown brews from both established and new breweries. The event will feature and pour only craft beer brewed in WV. Some of the best, hand selected breweries in the region will be in attendance showcasing both their regular and seasonal products. “Our goal is to create a festival that celebrates the state’s local brewers and offers beer lovers the chance to connect with the personalities behind their favorite brews. There’ll be something for everyone, even if you’re not big on IPAs and super hoppy beer” says Kristina Szczyrbak, owner of the presenting company Old Crow Productions.
Event goers can expect some unique tasting and food pairing experiences too. There will be a handful of gourmet snack vendors presenting their unique treats including dessert hummus and flavored shell-and-all peanuts. There will also be merchant vendors set up. The festival hosts only the most eclectic and authentic merchant vendors in the region. Many are local artisans that exhibit an Appalachian or craft beer theme in their products.
WCLG Radio, a premier sponsor, will be on-site at the event providing entertainment and doing a live remote broadcast. MoTown Taxi will have a kiosk set up and cars at the ready to help attendees travel safely to and from the event. The festival is also recruiting volunteers that will receive free entry and an event t-shirt. A number of local charities have been selected to benefit from the hours worked by volunteers.
